County Connections: Historical Society Museum of Hopkins County preserves memories of county's colorful past

MADISONVILLE — The Hopkins County Historical Society provides a picture of the western Kentucky county’s past by preserving artifacts related to its history as well as publishing an annual yearbook with contributions from its nearly 400 members. The society operates a museum in downtown Madisonville, which displays memorabilia that dates back to the early 1800s and showcases the region’s coal industry, political history, lifestyles and more.
