Change in state Democratic chairman, Kentucky Public Radio reports

Kentucky Democratic Party Chairman Charlie Moore, a Union County attorney, is stepping down and Gov. Steve Beshear is expected to name his successor on Saturday, Kentucky Public Radio’s Tony McVeigh reports.
Moore is stepping down after more than a year after the position. He took over for Jennifer Moore, a Louisville lawyer.
McVeigh reports that Beshear is expected to name his Daniel Logsdon, who has served as the governor’s deputy chief of staff since September 2009, as the new party chairman. The state party’s executive committee is scheduled to meet Saturday.
