C-J/WHAS poll shows Fischer, Heiner way ahead

SurveyUSA’s new poll on the Louisville mayor’s race has Hal Heiner running away with the Republican nomination and Greg Fischer firmly in control of the Democratic contest.
The Courier-Journal and WHAS have the full results with Heiner getting 63 percent of the 446 likely GOP voters who responded in the poll between May 10 and 12. It has a margin of error of 4.6 percentage points, according to the news organizations.
Fischer, meanwhile, was the choice of 42 percent of the 735 Democratic respondents. That poll had a margin of error of 3.7 percentage points. Louisville Metro Councilman Jim King finished second in the poll with 21 percentage points, while Councilman David Tandy was in third place with 13 percentage points.
