Bill protecting animals left in hot cars passes Senate committee

FRANKFORT- A measure providing protections for people who break into cars to save animals unanimously cleared a Senate committee Thursday. Senate Bill 8 sponsored by Senator Danny Carroll, R-Paducah, provides civil immunity for damaging a vehicle if done so in ‘good-faith’ to save a dog or cat believed to be in immediate danger of death if not removed.
