Beshear to launch first campaign radio ad

Although he’s running unopposed in the May Democratic primary, Gov. Steve Beshear will launch his first campaign radio ad this week, Pure Politics confirmed.
Beshear, however, declined to discuss the commercial or details about it to reporters after a speech in Boone County on Tuesday.
In response to several questions about the forthcoming ad, Beshear repeatedly replied:
Beshear is running with lieutenant governor candidate Jerry Abramson, the former mayor of Louisville.
Last week, the Republican slate of Senate President David Williams and his running mate, Agriculture Commissioner Richie Farmer, was the first to launch an advertisement in this election cycle.
Williams and Farmer went up on the air with a one-minute radio spot running statewide that highlighted their backgrounds.
