U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders is making a return trip to Kentucky as part of a larger effort to excite the Democratic base.

Sanders and Democratic National Committee chairman Tom Perez will be speaking at the Louisville Palace on Tuesday, April 18th at 7:00. The duo will be speaking across several-states, and the events are being billed as the ‘Come Back Together and Fight tour.

The aim is to reignite the Democratic base following the defeat of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in 2016. The Vermont Senator is expected to address issues similar to what he addressed on the presidential campaign trail.

Sanders last visited Kentucky during the Democratic presidential primary as he and Clinton fought for delegates in the bluegrass.

Perez and Sanders are also expected to visit Arizona, Florida, Maine, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada and Utah.

Push em left push em left Harder Harder Hey, at least Perez is a registered Democrat. It’s like a cheer leading squad from hell for what’s left of non-coastal Democrats.
