09/05/2012 08:05 AM
State auditors have been looking into Medicaid spending and the implementation of managed care in the Medicaid program.
Now State Auditor Adam Edelen said he wants to review the creation of the health exchange Kentucky is setting up as part of the Affordable Care Act. Edelen said he wants to make sure it isn’t rushed.
Gov. Steve Beshear’s administration has begun moving forward with the exchange, although the legislature hasn’t given its stamp of approval to it yet.
Here’s that part of an interview with Edelen, who is in Charlotte for the Democratic National Convention.
