Adam Edelen releases campaign ad highlighting work on untested sexual assault kits

State Auditor Adam Edelen’s campaign has released their first television ad with a focus on an extensive audit into untested sexual assault kits in Kentucky.
The highly produced 30-second ad titled: “Backlog” features quotes from news articles highlighting Edelen’s discovery of more than 3,000 untested sexual assault kits in Kentucky.
The ad, which began airing on cable, satellite and broadcast markets across the state on Tuesday, also highlights Edelen’s audits into the Agriculture Department run by Richie Farmer which resulted in the incarceration of the former commissioner, and other high profile reviews by his agency.
Edelen faces step Rep. Mike Harmon, R-Danville, in the Nov. 3 election.
