Andrew Wiggins Picks Kansas (with video)

The nation’s top recruit, Andrew Wiggins, announced today that he’ll attend the University of Kansas next season. In a small ceremony in front of only classmates and his family, Wiggins chose the Jayhawks over Kentucky, Florida State and North Carolina, saying that he had trimmed to two finalists, Kansas and Florida State.

Some have called Wiggins the best high school prospect since LeBron James, but the Canadian small forward has done his best to retreat from the spotlight as he’s established himself as more of a star. Heading into today’s announcement, no coaches had been told of his decision and he told his parents only minutes before.
