NEW YORK CITY — After months of projections and speculation, we’re finally almost there.
The 2015 NBA Draft is just two weeks from today.
A record seven Wildcats will be hoping to hear their names called in The Big Apple on June 25th, and Karl-Anthony Towns is still holding on as the favorite to be the top overall pick.
Sports Illustrated released its latest mock draft on Wednesday, and while keeping Towns in the top spot to Minnesota, writer Chris Mannix adds that Duke’s Jahlil Okafor is still in play for the No. 1 pick as he could be a more natural fit in the Timberwolves’ up-tempo offense.
Fellow former Cats Devin Booker, Trey Lyles, and Willie Cauley-Stein are also included as Lottery selections, with Cauley-Stein surprisingly sliding all the way down to No. 12 to the Utah Jazz.
KSTV discussed the battle to be No. 1 on Thursday’s show, explaining the strengths and weaknesses of the two leading candidates.
