The Sporting News has begun releasing their list of top college basketball players, position by position. So far, the top point guards and shooting guards hit the internet… and the results may surprise you.

Both Harrisons, Andrew and Aaron, made the lists of course, but their placement has certainly spawned some discussion. According to the Sporting News, here’s how the top-five point guards and shooting guards rounds out:

1. Marcus Paige, UNC
2. Delon Wright, Utah
3. Juwan Staten, WVU
4. Emmanuel Mudiay, SMU
5. Andrew Harrison, UK

1. Aaron Harrison, UK
2. Ron Baker, Wichita State
3. Buddy Hield, Oklahoma
4. Malcolm Brogdon, UVA
5. Wayne Seldon, KU

Whether the Sporting News got it right or wrong is still to be determined, but KSTV’s Mark Krebs, Ben Rainwater, and Bradley McKee give their thoughts anyway.
