Mark Stoops picked up maybe the biggest commitment of his tenure late Sunday night when assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Vince Marrow elected to remain at Kentucky and turn down an offer to join Jim Harbaugh’s staff at Michigan.
According to the Louisville Courier-Journal’s Steve Jones, Marrow made the decision after meeting with UK’s administration over the weekend.
Marrow is the architect of UK’s recruiting resurgence under Stoops and has been the key to the program’s recent dominance in Ohio. The former Buffalo Bills tight end had also been rumored as a head coaching candidate at Youngstown State in December.
Watch KSTV on Monday for more details on Marrow’s decision to remain in Lexington.
