ELMONT, N.Y. — After a 37-year drought, American Pharoah quenched the thirst of the nation on Saturday by winning the Belmont stakes to complete for first Triple Crown of horse racing since Affirmed in 1978.

KSTV joined local racing fans at the track at Churchill Downs to watch the historic race on the big screen, and it got us to thinking:
