The struggle continues for Kentucky (8-9, 0-3) as they lost their eighth straight on Sunday afternoon to Georgia 42-56.

Georgia did not make it easy for Kentucky, as the Bulldogs had 13 blocks and the Wildcats shot a season low 20.4 percent, going 11-of-54 from the field. Senior guard Maci Morris played limited minutes due to a knee injury suffered in practiced on Thursday and the Wildcats also had to deal with foul trouble to ad to the frustrations of the poor shooting.

Makenzie Cann led the Wildcats in scoring with 10 points and Maci Morris finished with 9 points in only 15 minutes.

Coach Mitchell said to keep the players motivated through the tough times, “I have to be really focused on what’s going on no matter how bad things seem over the totality of difficulty and try to stay focused. It’s real hard right now, but I believe in them and I think they will continue to resilient. They have been to this point. We’ve got to just keep battling. Fight our way through it.”

Kentucky goes on the road to take on Florida on Thursday to see if they can pick up their first win in SEC play, tipoff is set for 7 p.m. ET.
