UK WOMEN'S BASKETBALL | Kentucky defeats Alabama 79-54

Tonight was a night the Kentucky Wildcat’s women’s basketball team have been waiting for. The Wildcats put together a dominating fourth quarter to extend a five point lead going into the fourth to a convincing 25 point victory over Alabama in Memorial Coliseum.

Kentucky (10-11, 2-5 SEC) beat Alabama (14-7, 4-4 SEC) 79-54 on Thursday night. Junior guard Taylor Murray became the first Wildcat with a points-assist double-double in SEC play with her 20 points and 10 assists. Murray was able to be aggressive pushing the ball up the court but was careful in limiting turnovers with only one on the night.

Junior guard Maci Morris had 16 points and freshman center Dorie Harrison had a career-high with 15 points while freshman forward KeKe McKinney had 12 points.

Kentucky goes on the road to take on Arkansas on Monday at 7 p.m. ET.
