UK VS. MIZZOU | Cats & Tigers tied 7-7 behind near-perfect Towles

LEXINGTON — Patrick Towles played a near-perfect first half as Kentucky enters the locker room tied 7-7 with No. 25 Missouri.

The junior quarterback finished the half 14-15 passing for 120 yards while also rushing for a team-high 24, including a 14-yard TD scramble in the second quarter to tie the game. Towles also completed his last 11 passes to end the half.

Wide receiver Garrett Johnson hauled in several long passes for 54 yards on three receptions, and C.J. Johnson led the way defensively with seven tackles in just two quarters.

Missouri took the lead on a 17-yard touchdown pass from Maty Mauk to J’Mon Moore with 3:49 left in the first quarter before the Wildcats responded the next possession with a nine-play, 82-yard drive to tie the score 7-7 on Towles touchdown run.
