Tigers usually come in with a roar, but the top-ranked UK men’s basketball team sent Auburn home in a whimper.

No. 1 Kentucky (27-0, 14-0 SEC) thrashed the Auburn Tigers (12-15, 4-10 SEC) by a score of 110-75 on Saturday night at Rupp Arena. The victory increased Kentucky’s best start in school history to 27-0 while tying the 1995-1996 team for its longest overall win streak at 27 games.

The Cats opened the game on a 30-4 run, tied a season-high with 25 assists (vs. UCLA), and scored their most points against an SEC opponent since a 120-81 win over Vanderbilt in 1996.

KSTV’s Thomas Beisner and Mark Krebs broke down the game and how unselfish play is allowing UK to finally show signs of reaching its full potential.
