UK softball hopes to benefit from home-field advantage in NCAA Tournament

The UK softball team racked up a school record 45 wins this season and fell just short of their first SEC Championship over the weekend.
Now, they’re focused on trying to bring home a national title. The Cats are the 14th overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, and they’ll host the tournament’s Lexington regional. The journey will begin Friday against Ohio at 7:30 p.m. on Friday John Cropp Stadium.
Head coach Rachel Lawson and sophomore shortstop Christian Stokes hope the home-field advantage and resiliency of this team will help carry them through the tournament’s first weekend.
