RECRUITING ALERT: UK's top targets make huge statements

12/30/2014 06:00 PM

On the hardwood, one of UK’s top 2015 recruits, Malik Newman, the nation’s 11th-ranked senior, went for a career-high last night, scoring 50 points in front of John Calipari in a holiday tournament victory. That followed a 40-point performance earlier in the day, and a 44-point performance in the tournament opener — racking up 134 points for the tournament.

And on the gridiron, 2015 5-star in-state running back, Damien Harris, narrowed his list of schools down to three…. and Kentucky made the cut.

Upon his arrival at this week’s Under Armour All-American Game, Harris told ESPN.com that he was down to Kentucky, Ohio State, and Alabama.

It’s no doubt stiff competition for the Cats, but credit Mark Stoops and his staff for being in the hunt to this point.
