As spring practice opens up for the University of Kentucky football team, the exciting time takes a bit of a hit after head coach Mark Stoops announced an injury to the team’s leading receiver.
Javess Blue, who led the Wildcats last season with 586 yards and four touchdowns, will be out 3-4 months with a shoulder injury suffered during off-season workouts. Stoops says the senior will miss the remainder of the spring, but hopes to be back on the field by fall.
Stoops spoke with the media Monday morning and addressed the issue.
