UK's defense keeping it simple against Mizzou

When the Cats take the field Saturday afternoon in Columbia, Missouri, they will be tested once again by Mizzou’s effective run game. The Tigers’ QB, Maty Mauk, has very few threats at wide receiver who can make plays. So if Kentucky’s defense can stop the run, they will most likely control the game.

In order to stop the run though, the Kentucky defense must be more physical than they have been all season. LSU and Mississippi State destroyed them on the ground, and Missouri has shown flashes of that potential this season. Defensive coordinator D.J. Eliot and senior defensive end Bud Dupree are well aware of the challenges that lies ahead.
