After two exhibitions against each other, the UK basketball time finally went head-to-head with another squad last night at Rupp Arena, beating Rollie Massimino’s Northwood team, 93-61. After a slow start that saw the Cats fall behind 11-10, UK found their stride and cruised from there.

Archie Goodwin led the team with 22 points while fellow freshman Nerlens Noel added 17 to go with 11 rebounds and 4 blocks. The other three starters (Kyle Wiltjer, Ryan Harrow and Alex Poythress) all scored in double-digits as well, with Harrow’s 15 leading the group. The team’s 17 turnovers were alarming, including 9 combined between Goodwin and Poythress, but John Calipari said his team looked better than he expected.
