After dropping games to Ohio State and LSU, the UK basketball team had a chance to get their first true road win of the season in Tuscaloosa and a pair of veterans made sure they got the job done.

Senior forward Alex Poythress scored 25 points and grabbed 7 rebounds, while sophomore guard Tyler Ulis added 8 points and 8 boards. Jamal Murray added 21 and 5 rebounds and Isaiah Briscoe contributed 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.

After taking a 10-point lead into the half, the Cats struggled to put the game away and Alabama cut the lead to 4 and 6 at separate points in the game. A pair of big shots from Briscoe though helped UK put the Tide away for good and walk away with the victory.
