The four UK football players who were suspended earlier this week following an on-campus incident involving an air gun have been charged with disorderly conduct, according to Fayette County District Court.
Freshmen Stanley “Boom” Williams, Dorian Baker, Drew Barker and Tymere Dubose will face arraignment on October 28 for the class B misdemeanor, which can carry up to a $250 fine and 90 days in jail. All were charged days after UK head coach Mark Stoops suspended the players for their involvement from Saturday’s game against South Carolina. Further disciplinary action is expected.
Stoops told reporters after practice earlier this week that the situation took away from the focus on South Carolina. He called the players good kids who made a mistake.
