UK Outmuscles St. John's, 81-59

Some thought that playing St. John’s two nights before North Carolina meant Kentucky was walking into a trap game Thursday night at Rupp Arena. But thanks to two big performances from their two big guys, the Cats walked away with a victory in a game that was never really close.

Sophomore Terrence Jones led all scorers with 26 points and added 9 rebounds, 4 blocks and 4 steals. Freshman Anthony Davis also put together an impressively balanced stat line, registering 15 points, 15 rebounds and 8 blocked shots. Doron Lamb added 16 points, while senior Darius Miller contributed 9 points and 6 assists off the bench.

Make sure to check out KSTV Friday for highlights from the St. John’s game and a look ahead to Saturday’s game with the Tar Heels.
