UK Named SEC Favorite, Noel and Poythress All-SEC

The SEC media voted UK’s basketball team as the favorite to win the conference crown this season by a healthy margin over Florida, Missouri and Tennessee. Freshmen Nerlens Noel (First Team) and Alex Poythress (Second Team) were also honored in the preseason voting, which picked Missouri guard Phil Pressey as the player of the year.
