The Cats continue to impress on the Big Blue Bahamas Tour. After defeating Puerto Rico 93-57 under the tutelage of assistant coach John Robic today, the team moved to 3 and 0 on the week. It was the second meeting between the teams. Monday, the Cats won by twenty-five.

Alex Poythress led UK with 15 points and 10 boards. Marcus Lee added 14 points. Towns and the Harrison twins finished with 10 points each.

KSTV’s Thomas Beisner and Mark Krebs break down the win.

Today was a huge day for Alex Poythress, who led the Cats with a double-double. His play has been electric all week. He’s the guy Cats fans are hoping will have a breakout season. Hopefully, this only the start.

A few players had surprise performances today — Derek Willis finished with 9 points including three rim-rattling dunks; Tyler Ulis won over the BBN after his unselfish 7 point performance; and Marcus Lee’s high-energy play and unfair length make it impossible for Coach Cal not to have him on the court this season.
