The Kentucky women’s basketball team took care of business on Sunday night in its lone exhibition of the season.

The Wildcats beat Southern Indiana 87-56 inside Memorial Coliseum.

UK led over 33 minutes in the contest, and pulled away from USI for good in the second quarter, when the Wildcats outscored the Screaming Eagles 21-7.

Guard Maci Morris led the way for the Wildcats with a team-high 19 points. Morris also had four assists on the night.

Two Wildcats joined her in double-digit scoring figures in the game. Guard Taylor Murray had 11 points, while forward Tatyana Wyatt had 10 points.

Meanwhile, USI forward Kaydie Grooms led the Screaming Eagles with a game-high 20 points.

The largest lead in the game for the Wildcats was 31 points, which also happened to be their margin of victory.

Up next for UK is Sacramento St. in the Wildcats’ regular season opener on Friday. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET inside Memorial Coliseum.
