The University of Kentucky will have a dancing duo in the NCAA tournaments this weekend.

Linnae Harper stuffed the stat sheet with 16 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals to pace No. 2 seed UK Hoops past No. 15 Tennessee State for an easy 97-52 victory in the first round of the women’s NCAA tournament on Friday in Lexington. UK’s men’s team also advanced in its tournament with a 79-56 win over No. 16 seed Hampton on Thursday night in Louisville.

The Tigers scored the first two points of the game but never saw the lead again as Kentucky countered with a 19-1 run to double its opponent by halftime, 50-25.

Six Wildcats scored in double figures, and UK’s stifling defense limited Tennessee State to just ##% shooting while also forcing ## turnovers.

Kentucky advances to play No. 7 seed Dayton in the Round of 32 on Sunday. The Flyers defeated first-round opponent No. 10 Iowa State earlier in the day, 78-66.
