UK Hoops picks up fifth straight win in blowout of Ole Miss

Matthew Mitchell has his UK hoops team on a roll. The ladies defeated Ole Miss 89-57 tonight, winning their fifth straight game and improving to 15-6 (6-2 SEC) on the season.

Evelyn Akhator led the way for the Wildcats, scoring 28 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. This was the fifth time in the last six games Akhator has scored at least 20 points. Makayla Epps also had a strong performance. The senior scored 20 points (8-12 FG) to go with six assists and four rebounds.

Kentucky shot 58.6 percent from the floor and held Ole Miss to only 37.7 percent shooting.

Kentucky’s next game is Monday at Missouri at 7 pm.
