The 5-foot-9 native of Lebanon, Ky., averaged 20.5 points and four assists in UK Hoops’ two victories last week, including a season-high 24 points against Louisville. Epps shot 10-11 from the field against the Cardinals to post the highest field goal percentage for a UK player with at least 10 attempts since 1987.
Makayla followed up that performance by dropping another 17 points on the Blue Raiders on Sunday, leading the Wildcats to a perfect 9-0 start for only the fifth time in program history.
Epps and the Cats have the rest of the week off before returning to the court on Sunday for a top-25 showdown with No. 11/13 Duke at Rupp Arena.
