The Women’s NCAA selection committee has set up Kentucky very nicely. The Wildcats are a three seed in the Lexington region, meaning, if they keep winning, UK would play it’s first four games at home before advancing to the Final Four in nearby Indianapolis.
UK Hoops, as a three seed, opens up on Saturday at 4 p.m. against (14)UNC-Asheville. Should UK win on Monday (Time TBA), the Cats would face the winner of the (6)Oklahoma vs (11)Purdue game. Should Kentucky win, the Wildcats would then advance to the Sweet 16, which is being hosted in Lexington.
Notre Dame is the top seed in this region, while Maryland is the second seed and Stanford is fourth.
