The No. 18 Kentucky women’s basketball team will be a No. 4 seed in the Lexington region in this year’s NCAA tournament. The Wildcats will play Belmont at Memorial Coliseum on Friday in front of what is expected to be a big blue crowd. Tip is set for noon ET.

If the Cats advance past Belmont, they will player the winner of the 5/12 matchup between Ohio State and Western Kentucky on Sunday.

This is the eighth straight season Kentucky has made the NCAA tournament under head coach Matthew Mitchell. UK fell to Washington in the Sweet 16 last season.

Notre Dame is the No. 1 seed in the region, with Stanford as the No. 2 and Texas as the No. 3.
