UK Holds Off Portland, 87-63

After an emotional afternoon in Lexington, the Kentucky basketball team took the court with the Portland Pilots Saturday night and despite struggling at times early on, pulled away in the second half for another blowout win.

The Cats were led by a pair of veterans, Terrence Jones and Darius Milller, who both scored a team-high 19 points. Miller added five rebounds while Jones added four. Freshman Anthony Davis notched another triple-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds, along with four blocks, while freshman Marquis Teague dished out eight assists to go with zero turnovers.

The Cats will now face St. John’s Thursday night at Rupp Arena. Stay tuned to KSTV all week for the latest news from the UK basketball program.
