Michael Fly graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2006 with ambitions of being a college basketball coach. The Fulton, Kentucky native has worked his way up the coaching ladder since he left UK, and is currently in his sixth season as an assistant basketball coach at Florida Gulf Coast University.

Fly was on staff when the Eagles shocked the world and made the sweet 16 in 2013 as a No. 15 seed. The Eagles are once again in the NCAA tournament, this year as a No. 14 seed. They face No. 3 Florida State tomorrow in the first round at 9:20 pm in Orlando, Florida.

KSTV talked with Fly about his coaching journey, his memories from the magical 2013 run and how his guys have prepared for tomorrow’s game against Florida State.
