UK FOOTBALL | Stoops stays close to Kash Daniel, other top commits

LEXINGTON — By foot. By car. By Helicopter?
Kentucky Wildcats head coach Mark Stoops is using a new weapon to visit the state’s top recruits, flying by chopper to travel from Lexington, to Frankfort, to Paintsville.
Stormy conditions grounded Stoops’ ride this week en route to see 4-star 2016 commitment Kash Daniel, and the UK head coach had to instead take an old-fashioned automobile to watch the Tigers’ 56-7 rout of Pike County Central.
Daniel joined fellow Army All-American and 2016 Kentucky commitment Drake Jackson (Woodfood Co.) in signing financial aid agreements with the university last week, allowing both players to enroll early at UK and participate in spring practices:

We've been waiting our whole lives for this.

But Kentucky isn’t taking any chances with its most prized recruits. Justin Rowland of Rivals.com joined KSTV to explain why Stoops will continue to visit Daniel and the rest of his 2016 verbal commitments until everything is finalized on signing day:
