UK FOOTBALL | It's the Benny & Boom Show as UK cruises past Missouri

The Kentucky Wildcats moved one game closer to bowl eligibility Saturday as they picked up their 5th win of the season 35-21 in Columbia, Missouri.
In a game full of big plays Boom put Kentucky on the board first with a 60 yard touchdown run in the first quarter. On the next series Stephen Johnson connected with Jeff Badet for a 65 touchdown pass and from there the Cats would not look back.
A 1 yd TD run by Benny Snell Jr put UK up 21-0 before Missouri answered with a TD strike of their own to end the first half.
The second half started with a long drive by the tigers that ended in a missed field goal. Kentucky answered with a long drive of their own, ending in another Boom Williams score. Snell tacked on another TD later in the 3rd quarter as UK stretched their lead to 35-7.
Missouri added two late TD’s to keep the final margin respectable.
Williams finished the game with 195 total yards and 2 touchdowns and Snell accounted for 192 yards and 2 touchdowns. As a team, the UK offense churned out 582 yards of total offense. QB Stephen Johnson, who is now 5-1 on the season as the UK starter, finished 14/28 for 208 yards with 2 TD’s and 1 INT.
With the win UK sits at 5-3 on the season and just one victory away from being eligible for their first bowl bid in 6 years.
Next up for the Cats will be a home game next Saturday against the Georgia Bulldogs. That game is slated for a 7:30pm kickoff in Commonwealth Stadium.
