LEXINGTON — The Kentucky Wildcats aren’t the only ones marveling at their shiny, new home.
The Florida Gators will visit Lexington this Saturday to play the Wildcats, and UF head coach Jim McElwain said during the week he hopes his school’s administration takes note of the renovations at Commonwealth Stadium and consider upgrading its own facilities back in Gainesville.
“We’ve got a ways to go,” McElwain said of Florida’s football facilities this summer. “We’ve got some great things going on with our housing situation, our office of student life, obviously our indoor [practice facility]. We have a lot of great things to offer at the University of Florida. Now, are we at the top with the Taj Mahals with what’s going out there? No, but at the same time we’re making movements.”
Justin Rowland of Rivals.com joined KSTV on Thursday to explain where Kentucky’s new facilities rank among the other top teams in the SEC and list all the big-name recruits who will be at the game on Saturday.
