UK FOOTBALL | 3 keys to defeating Florida

LEXINGTON — Will today go down as one of the great days in Kentucky Football history? Or add with just another defeat to the never-ending Florida nightmare?
The Wildcats will attempt to snap a 28-year losing streak to the Gators when the two SEC East foes kickoff at a sold-out Commonwealth Stadium at 7:30 p.m. ET today.
Both teams enter the game with 2-0 records, and UK is riding high after ending another long losing streak — 22 straight road loses — with a 26-22 victory at South Carolina last weekend.
None of the current Wildcats players had even been born the last time UK beat Florida in 1986, and if history is going to change later tonight, these are the three Bradley “McKees to the Game” Kentucky must follow:
- 1. Limit Penalties and Turnovers
- 2. Stay in the Moment
- 3. Keep a Short Memory
