John Calipari has spent his morning in Bristol, Connecticut making stops all over the ESPN family of networks to preview tonight’s premiere of “All Access: Kentucky”. During his appearance on Sportscenter with ESPN’s Hannah Storm, Calipari responded to a question on the eligibility of freshman center Nerlens Noel by saying, “He’s been cleared to practice. He’s been cleared to play in games. Everything is good to go.”

However, UK clarified the statement minutes later by noting that there is “No update on Nerlens Noel. We will not confirm eligibility of any student-athlete until the first day of competition.”

Here is the clip from Sportscenter:

NCAA needs to be cleared for not favoring UNC and Duke. In my honest opinion, the NCAA is the biggest joke and I am sick of them and their antics. If they clear them later on they could come back and strip you of all your game wins because they changed their mind, just as they did to Memphis. They cleared Rose then deemed later he cheated on his entrance exam. NCAA go crawl up UNC or Dukes pie hole for a change, oh that’s right those schools are untouchable. I hate the NCAA for not having the same rules for everyone.

I bubble inside everytime I hear the letters NCAA. These guys act as though Duke and NC can do no wrong. Why do the other member schools put up with their prefered pet programs? Every other school, Ucla, Memphis, Ohio State, Mass, Kentucky, NCS, and others get punished, but Duke and NC is in a league of their own. I would like to see the SEC, Big Ten, Big 12, and the other conferences secede from the NCAA and form their own governing body. To heck with the NCAA.
