UK blows out Mississippi State to improve to 28-0

The train kept rolling Wednesday night as the UK basketball team extended their perfect record to 28-0 with a 74-56 win over Mississippi State. Despite some sluggish play int the first half, UK entered the break with a 9-point lead and would extend the margin by the same amount in the second half.

Freshman Trey Lyles sparked the team in the first half and finished with 18 points and 6 rebounds, while Aaron Harrison and Devin Booker combined for 30 points on 12-20 shooting. Karl-Anthony Towns recorded his sixth double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
