UK BASKETBALL | Wildcats Drop Second Game of the Season

12/23/2017 05:58 PM

The Kentucky men’s basketball team’s seven-game winning streak came to an end on Saturday.

The UCLA Bruins (9-3) were too much for the Wildcats (9-2), winning 83 to 75 in the CBS Sports Classic.

The game was tied 39-39 at halftime, but the Bruins pulled away in the second half to get the win.

The Bruins were led by a pair of 20-point performances from guard Kris Wilkes and guard Aaron Holiday.

Meanwhile, the Wildcats were led by guard Hamidou Diallo’s 18 points.

Joining Diallo in double-figures for the Wildcats were forward Wenyen Gabriel (16) and forward Kevin Knox (15).

Up next for UK is a game against its biggest rival, Louisville, on Friday at 1 p.m. ET inside Rupp Arena.
