UK BASKETBALL | NCAA Brackets Released. UK Headed to Iowa

03/13/2016 06:54 PM

The Kentucky Wildcats, fresh off their 29th SEC Tournament victory got their travel itinerary tonight for the NCAA Tournament. Des Moines, IA will be their first stop on the road to Houston. Playing in the East Region, the (4) Wildcats will face (13) Stony Brook. The Seawolves punched their ticket to the big dance by defeating Vermont for the America East Conference Tournament Championship.

The intriguing thing about the UK bracket is a possible match-up with Indiana. (5) Indiana must first get past (12) Chattanooga. This would be the first time UK has played IU since beating the Hoosiers 102-90 in the 2012 Sweet 16.

No bracket would be complete without some head-scratchers. The glaring one of course is Texas A&M. Despite losing to Kentucky, the Aggies were given a 3 seed in the West Region. Vanderbilt was the only other SEC team to Make the tournament.
