LEXINGTON — The early signing period for Class of 2016 basketball recruits starts next week, and the Kentucky Wildcats are the favorites to land the No. 1 point guard in the nation.
- “The guy I think Kentucky is in the best shape with is De’Aaron Fox,” Evan Daniels, Recruiting Director of Scout.com, told KSTV on Wednesday. “Kentucky fans should pay close attention to his recruitment. I think he’s going to announce in this initial signing period, and I think Kentucky seems to be the favorite.”
Fox, the No. 4 overall prospect in the 2016 class, spent the final official visit of his recruitment in Lexington at Big Blue Madness last month and told Scout.com he’ll make his college decision during the upcoming early signing period, which begins Nov. 11.
- “It’ll be before November 16th for sure,” Fox said.
Kentucky is one of four schools left on Fox’s list of schools, joining Kansas, LSU, and Louisville.
