UK BASKETBALL | John Calipari To Receive NABC Metropolitan Award

Kentucky men’s basketball head coach John Calipari will receive the National Association of Basketball Coaches’ Metropolitan Award at the Final Four in April.

Previous winners of the award include John Wooden and Dean Smith, along with Kentucky greats Adolph Rupp and C.M. Newton.

Calipari has received numerous national awards throughout his career, including being named NABC National Coach of the Year three times.

Calipari’s Wildcats are currently getting prepared for the upcoming SEC Tournament. Their first game will take place Friday afternoon against either Missouri, Georgia or Vanderbilt.
