UK Basketball | Humphries' breakout performance

02/08/2016 07:00 PM

Freshman forward Isaac Humphries impressed on the court during Kentucky’s game against Florida on Saturday. But his performance almost didn’t happen. The decision was made shortly before tip-off not to play senior forward Alex Poythress, who was struggling with a knee injury.

John Calipari told reporters afterwards that learning about the last-minute decision had him a little upset at first.

Humphries’ career-high 15 minutes of playing time resulted in 4 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks, and some say his stellar performance could foreshadow even more playing during post-season.
