The Kentucky Wildcats (14-5, 4-3 SEC) fell to the Florida Gators (14-5, 6-1) in Rupp Arena with a final score of 66-64.

Freshman guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and sophomore forward Wenyen Gabriel led the way for the Cats with 10 points each.

The Cats struggled shooting from the perimeter, going just 4-17 from behind the three-point line. The team shot 40% from the field.

In his return to the lineup, freshman point guard Quade Green played 17 minutes, scoring two points. Green was 1-8 from the field and 0-4 from the arc.

In his second game as a Wildcat, freshman forward Jarred Vanderbilt gave the team 13 minutes for six rebounds and four points.

Kentucky’s defense made improvements, as they held Florida to just 6 of 30 from the three, but the Cats turned the ball over 16 times.

The Cats are back in action Tuesday at home against Mississippi State. Tip-off is set for 9 p.m. eastern.
