LEXINGTON — Yet another top player from the 2016 recruiting class has committed to visiting Lexington for Big Blue Madness.
De’Aaron Fox, the No. 1 point guard and No. 4 player overall on the Scout.com, has announced he will take his official visit to Kentucky for the intrasquad scrimmage on October 16.
The 6-4, 170-lbs native of Katy, Texas, shined during the Nike EYBL summer season, averaging 17.5 points, 5.8 assists, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.8 steals per game for Houston Hoops.
Fox recently cut his list of schools down to seven — including Kentucky, Arizona, Kansas, Louisville, LSU, North Carolina and N.C. State — and told Evan Daniels of Scout.com why the Wildcats remain as one of his top picks:
- “There’s a lot you could say about them. Coach Cal is the one of the best guys at getting guys to the league. Being able to bring top talent together and teach them how to play the game and play together. He’s probably second to none. Kentucky just wins no matter who he puts on the court.”
Including Fox, below is the loaded list of the top recruits who will be in attendance at Big Blue Madness:
No. 1 – Harry Giles
No. 4 – De’Aaron Fox
No. 6 – Malik Monk
No. 11 – Miles Bridges
No. 29 – Sacha Killeya-Jones (UK Commit)
