UK Basketball | Cats cruise past Missouri. Kansas looms

01/27/2016 11:02 PM

Five minutes into the game Kentucky led 20-2 and Missouri had already taken 2 timeouts. At that point the only thing in question was the final score. UK was too much for Mizzou to handle tonight as they cruised to a 88-54 victory.

Kentucky shot a blistering 52% from the field including 9-20 from behind the arc. Tyler Ulis led the scoring for Kentucky finishing with 20 pts and 8 assists. Derek Willis tallied a double double finishing with 18 and 12.

The biggest cheer of the night, however, was reserved for Isaiah Briscoe. The freshman guard drained 5 of 6 from the free throw line sending the crowd into a frenzy after each make.

Skal Labisierre saw quality minutes tonight and got the second half start in place of Alex Poythress. The freshman finished with 12 points in 18 minutes of action but failed to grab a rebound.

Next up for Kentucky is a date with #4 Kansas Saturday in Lawrence, KS.
