LEXINGTON — Big Blue Madness has transformed from a local party into a national event.
For the first time ever, the annual tipoff celebration for the Kentucky men’s and women’s basketball teams will be broadcast live on the SEC Network on Friday, October 16.
For the first time in the event's history, #BBM15 will air in its entirety on national TV on the

The two-hour UK spectacle will also air in its entirety online at WatchESPN.com and via the WatchESPN app on computers, tablets, and smartphones. Broadcast talent for the event will include ESPN play-by-play man Dave O’Brien alongside analysts Sean Farnham and Kara Lawson.
Big Blue Madness is the first opportunity for Big Blue Nation to see both Wildcat teams in action each season and includes practice drills, videos, team dances, and celebrity cameo appearances.
UK Athletics distributed free tickets to the annual spectacle last week both in person at Memorial Coliseum and online, selling out in just 25 minutes.
The doors at Rupp Arena will open at 5:30 p.m. ET, with events scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
